In the end, Spike Jonze’s video for the song was the only official “Flashing Lights” video, but we all know that the internet remains undefeated.
The video was made but after the editing process it was shelved (one of two videos for the song to meet this fate) and was therefore never officially released.
Enter: Leaked YouTube uploads.
We of course had nothing to do with this, but as it sometimes goes with these things, Martin’s take on the video eventually ended up online where it is still extremely easy to find.
Now, since this is not a video approved by the artist, we do not recommend that you watch it. Watch something else, go for a walk, whatever, just don’t spend four minutes watching a leak of Martin’s unreleased Flashing Lights video.
